Chromolite Skin Rejuvenation Treatment

Intense pulsed light treatment is a method of treating various vascula>rpigmentation problems and performing skin rejuvenation treatments. The target cells, the haemoglobin and pigment cells, in the superficial skin layers, selectively absorb the light from Chromolite. This causes the lesion to heat up significant while the rest of the skin is less affected. When the cells in the lesion are warm enough, they will denature and die. The body will cleanse these out naturally. Selective heating of the dermal collagen layer to a temperature of about 60 degrees C stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new collagen, which takes place during a period of 8-10 weeks and lasts for 6 – 12 months after the last treatment.

Vascular lesions can be treated through selective absorption of the light by the haemoglobin at a wave-guide band of 535-600nm. When the temperature reaches about 65-75C, the blood coagulates and collapses.

Vascular and pigment conditions may be caused by medical conditions and/or external factors such as sun exposure and medications. Treatments using the Chromolite system will not cure any cause of said conditions.

The purpose of the treatment is to achieve cosmetic improvements of vascular and pigment blemishes by using intense pulsed light.
